ITI is a government skill development and training sector which admits students on the basis of merit . If you have passed 10th then you become eligible to get into ITI. The motto behind the foundation of ITI is to provide skilled labour force to the industrial sector. The duration of skill training courses ranges from 1 year to 3 years depending upon the course selected for. These selected candidates are trained for technical sector. Once the training of desired course is completed then the candidate is eligible to appear in test conducted by National Council for Vocational training(NCVT) called All India Trade Test(ATT), then National Trade Certificate (NTC) is issued to the person.

How to get admission into ITI? 

Students after the completion of 10th and 12th can enroll themselves into ITI courses at different places. In ITIs direct admission is given to students while in some students are admitted on the basis of entrance tests.

  • Find the institution depending on the choice of your course
  • Fill up the admission or registration form
  • Appear for the entrance test of ITI if necessary
  • Based upon the merit take admission

Depending upon the nature of course the duration of completion of curse varies from 6 month to 3 years.

Expected Salary

Freshers are expected to earn an annual package between 1.2 Lakh to 1.5 lakh and experienced candidates are expected to earn between 2.5 Lakh to 6 lakh annually, depending on the field they belong to.
